The Terminology Committee of the UJD SR was established on 21.05.2014. Its task is to stabilize and unify professional terminology in the field of peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
The members of the Committee are advisors in the correct use of terminology and the Slovak language primarily by coordinating cooperation with linguistic institutes and relevant experts, whether technical or from other fields.

A list of specific terms in the field of nuclear safety that are used in valid (year 2025) generally binding legal regulations, UJD SR safety guides and internal directives, etc., is provided by the non-periodical publication The Nuclear Safety Glossary of the UJD SR (BN 2/2025, 3rd edition – revised and supplemented).
