Bilateral meeting in Bratislava between the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic on nuclear safety and radiation protection

On 8th and 9th April 2026, the regular annual meeting of delegations of the Slovak Republic and Czech Republic on issues of common interest related to nuclear safety and radiation protection took place in Bratislava. The Slovak delegation was led by the Chairperson of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic (ÚJD SR), Marta Žiaková. The delegation was composed of representatives of the ÚJD SR, the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic.

The partners informed each other about current developments within their nuclear and radiation protection portfolio, the operation of nuclear facilities, changes in legislation, as well as developments in the field of radiation monitoring in both countries.

The meeting was traditionally held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere which contributed to the further deepening of bilateral cooperation.
