Since 2002 NRA SR has implemented a complete internal quality management system (IQMS). This resulted from the necessity to fulfil more effective and more efficient NRA SR tasks with the aim of their permanent qualitative fulfilment. A basic document
Quality Manual was issued, which sets procedures approach to the quality management.
Structure of guidance corresponds to the requirements of standard No. STN EN ISO 9001:2001 applicable to an organization of state administrative.
There is a Quality policy of the UJD SR formulated in Quality Manual where the objectives, which NRA SR will have to achieve in relation to the Slovak inhabitants as well as to the international society, are traced. The objectives of quality, their establishment and evaluation are subjects of regular internal audits. This system has been developed with the aim to create a modern QMS corresponding to current tasks of the NRA SR and requirements to quality management. The management of activities related QMS is executed by the NRA SR Board for Quality management headed by the Chairperson. The Board prepares suggestion of conceptions for QMS, provides recommendations for NRA SR procedures and activities. In addition to this, the board also takes into account the experience from application of QMS in state administration, as well as international recommendations concerning quality management in the field of nuclear safety and good practices.
